I never would have thought of that.<br /><br />A silent whistle has a lot of advantages: You don't have to let all your neighbors know your dog is missing, and you don't have to wake up your baby while looking for your dog.<br /><br />I wonder if a whistle would be effective also in teaching the dog appropiate behavior, like not chewing furniture or stopping to bark. I guess it will be effective for when you see it, as the dog will stop to behavior to run over to you, but I am not sure the dog will learn to avoid this behavior altogether. Just thought I would let your readers know. I am confident some of them own iPhones (and dogs). <br /><br />I never thought of using one (a dog) whistle on a cat. We did train our cat to come with a whistle, but she only does it when she wants to--but she IS a cat.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
